We strive to ensure scientifically-based marketing communications and product labeling using expressions that are easy-to-understand for everyone, strictly complying with the following policies in line with global standards.
1. Marketing Communications
Amid the rapid development of the internet and other digital tools, we apply this Policy to our marketing communications in all media to ensure responsible marketing communications in accordance with the ICC Framework for Responsible Food and Beverage Marketing Communications established by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) as global standards. We carry out our activities in a responsible manner, with particular attention to children, to put this idea into practice and thoroughly fulfill the following commitments:
- We provide products and services with sensible, honest, factual, easy-to-understand, and non-misleading representations and labels in compliance with laws and regulations as well as the industry’s own standards.
- We do not use defamatory, discriminatory, or offensive expressions towards customers in the countries in which we offer our products and services, of any gender, LGBTQ, age, ethnicity, nationality, race, religion, thought, creed, social status, or disability.
- We provide information on our products and services and quality and safety standards, in compliance with the laws and regulations of each country in which we operate and based on sufficient scientific evidence.
- We ensure labeling of nutritional and health benefits based on scientific evidence.
- We implement marketing communications appropriately to ensure that they do not encourage excessive consumption or make misleading representations.
- We comply with any laws and regulations, guidelines, and other standards concerning the handling of personal information.
2.Product Labeling
- We indicate scientifically(-) based information on product packages in compliance with the laws and regulations of each country in which we operate.
- We indicate information on product packages taking care not to stimulate excessive consumption or use misleading expressions, but to provide customers with useful information in an easy-to-understand manner.
- We indicate information on product packages that meet appropriate quality standards, in line with our responsibilities as a company.
