Nichirei Group Corruption and Bribery Prevention Policy
The Nichirei Group works to prevent corruption and bribery based on this policy according to the characteristics and risks of the countries and regions in which it does business. The Nichirei Group also prohibits its suppliers from engaging in corruption and bribery in accordance with this policy and requests them to establish a system for such purpose.
Prevention of Corruption
No officer or employee of the Nichirei Group shall, directly or indirectly, engage in, or offer or promise to engage in, any form of bribery (providing or receiving benefits for the purpose of obtaining improper gains in business), or any other form of corruption, including graft, extortion or embezzlement.
Compliance with Laws and Regulations
In the performance of their duties, officers and employees of the Nichirei Group shall comply with laws and regulations of relevant countries and regions for the prevention of corruption, including anti-bribery regulations.
Construction of an Organization to Prevent Corruption
The Nichirei Group has constructed an organization to prevent corruption through measures including developing internal rules necessary to prevent corruption, establishing a contact point for whistleblowing, and conducting regular audits.
Records and Storage
Officers and employees of the Nichirei Group shall prepare and properly store accurate accounting records for all transactions.
Education and Training
The Nichirei Group conducts ongoing education and training on prevention of corruption for officers and employees of Group companies.
