DX Promotion System
Group-wide Promotion System
The Nichirei Group has established departments in charge of DX and IT, not only at Nichirei Corporation, the Group holding company, but also at each of its operating companies: Nichirei Foods, Nichirei Fresh, Nichirei Logistics Group, and Nichirei Bioscience.
Each department works on DX activities within the company under the general manager and in cooperation with management, thereby promoting DX for the entire Group. In addition to leveraging connections within the Group, we also actively pursue partnerships and collaboration with external partners.
System and Initiatives of the Holding Company
Nichirei Corporation’s IT Strategy Department is responsible not only for promoting DX within the company but also for implementing the Group’s DX strategy by collaborating with and supporting the individual DX departments in charge of related activities in each operating company.
System and Initiatives of the Operating Companies
Each individual operating company promotes DX activities tailored to its own operations, consulting and collaborating with Nichirei Corporation’s IT Strategy Department as necessary.
Collaboration with External Partners
Hitachi Foods & Logistics Systems Inc. — established in 2003 as a joint venture between Nichirei Corporation and Hitachi, Ltd. — provides IT-based information services for food products and food logistics.
Company-Wide DX Education
By fiscal 2024, we were providing DX literacy education to approximately 4,000 full-time Group employees domestically. At present, we offer DX skills training to all those who wish to participate. Going forward, we will continue to provide DX literacy education to new hires and mid-career employees as well. In addition, we offer data analysis training opportunities through a small, competitively selected cross-company unit program. It is a hands-on training program aimed at achieving concrete business transformation through the application of data to meet the challenges facing each operating company of the Nichirei Group.
