On April 1, 2005, Nichirei Corporation shifted to a holding company system.
Personal information that was held before that date by the company's business divisions has been held by the various independent operating companies since the companies split up in April 2005. The following describes how Nichirei Corporation and its Group companies (henceforth "the Nichirei Group" – see *1 below for definition of a Group company) handle the personal information that they hold.

This office belongs to Nichirei Corporation, but it has been commissioned by the various Nichirei Group companies to handle questions related to the personal information that they hold.

1.  We will respond to requests regarding personal data held by Nichirei Group companies (*2) when the person concerned telephones the above Secretariat to make the following types of requests, referred to below as “requests for disclosure etc.”: 1) notification of the purpose for which information is used, 2) disclosure, 3) amendment of information, or 4) deletion of information or cessation of its use.

2.  We will mail an application for requesting disclosure etc. to the address of the person concerned.

3.  We ask that the person concerned fill in the relevant information and mail it back to the Secretariat. In some cases, we may request the inclusion of a copy of a driver license, health insurance certificate, or another publicly issued certificate to verify the identity of the person requesting the disclosure etc. We ask that the person requesting the disclosure etc. bear the cost of mailing this application to the Secretariat.

4.  The Secretariat will confirm the contents of the application, contact the Nichirei Group company that holds the personal information, and reply to the person who made the request by mail after processing the request as determined by law.

5.  We may refuse to respond to requests for disclosure etc. which are not made according to the above procedure.

6.  We regret that we are unable to respond to requests for disclosure etc. which are made by visiting the Secretariat in person, and we kindly request your understanding in this matter.

7.  Please contact the Secretariat with the requests for disclosure etc. which are made by someone other than the person concerned (a person with parental authority, agent, etc.)
