The Nichirei Group believes that we can only increase customer satisfaction if the employees who interface with customers on a daily basis feel satisfied with their jobs. Toward that end, we aim to create a workplace climate in which each and every employee can increase his or her own abilities.

We Study Our Employees' Satisfaction Level

Each year, the Nichirei Group conducts an "Employee Satisfaction Survey," aimed not only at regular employees, but also at independent contractors and temporary or part-time employees. The employee opinions that we gather through this survey are fed back to employees from the management level and are used to improve workplaces.

Promoting Safe and Comfortable Workplaces

The Nichirei Group promotes workplace safety and comfort by establishing Safety and Hygiene Committees aimed at preventing workplace accidents and protecting employee health.

Stress Relief and Career Development Support for Employees

As a framework for helping employees with particular problems or accumulated stress, and to support career development, the Nichirei Group introduced an Employee Assistance Program in partnership with an outside organization that specializes in developing such programs. This enables employees to consult with a professional counselor about a wide range of topics, from personal difficulties with coworkers to career aspirations.

Making Workplaces More Female-Friendly

Establishment of a temp service employing former Nichirei workers

The Nichirei Group created a temporary worker dispatch system in order to broaden opportunities for women's workplace participation. It provides flexible job opportunities for women who previously quit their jobs for reasons such as marriage, childbirth, or husband's job transfer.

Creating opportunities for exchange with female employees of other companies

In order to increase exchange with female employees of other companies, the Nichirei Group organizes joint training sessions with workers from other industries. These training sessions have been well received as opportunities to network with women working in other fields.

Commencement of Keep on Being Chosen by Customers Awards

Nichirei Logistics Group initiated an awards program for employees who made notable contributions to the company's important management policies of "creating workplaces that promote job satisfaction " and "boosting customer satisfaction." The program is aimed at even further boosting employee morale.
