As a food-related business, the Nichirei Group provides food-based aid in Japan and overseas.

A food bank is a volunteer organization that provides food free of charge to people and organizations that need food. When the outer container of foods imported by Nichirei Foods is damaged, or in other cases where food is perfectly good to eat but difficult to sell, we donate such food free of charge to Japan's first food bank, Second Harvest Japan, instead of disposing of it as waste. Nichirei Logistics Group also contributes, by providing refrigerated transport of the donated food directly to a facility authorized by Second Harvest Japan.
