As a food-related business, the Nichirei Group conducts educational activities related to dietary education and food distribution.

The Nichirei Group actively engages in dietary education activities together with a broad sector of the public involving learning about, thinking about, and experiencing the joy and wonder of food. Nichirei Foods Inc., in particular, provides the public with a variety of opportunities for food-related experiences in line with its goals of creating mealtimes brimming with smiles and promoting healthy bodies and minds through food.

As part of its food distribution-related educational activities, the Nichirei Group provides opportunities for social studies classes and educators from elementary, junior high and high schools to tour our facilities. We also sponsor lecture courses at various kinds of universities. Even outside Japan, we actively participate in education about food distribution. For example, the Eemhaven logistics center operated by our European affiliate, Eurofrigo B.V., hosted a tour of its refrigerated storage facility for four fifth-grade students from the Japanese School of Rotterdam.
