In order to meet its environmental goals for the fiscal year ending March 2011, the Nichirei Group has undertaken a variety of environmental measures.
| The Nichirei Group has set a target of reducing to zero, by the fiscal year ending March 2011, the amount of waste generated by its offices that is disposed of in landfills or incinerated without making use of the resulting energy. In order to achieve this goal, we had our various operating companies set individual goals and identify major obstacles to their achievement, so that the entire group works together to reduce waste and increase recycling. |
